Can a tuned Gallardo live with the lightning fast Aventador?
There aren’t many cars on the planet that can out-sprint a Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian carmaker’s flagship boasts a sub-three-second 0-62 mph time and its 700-hp 6.5-liter V12 also helps it to hit a 217 mph top speed. Its baby brother, the soon-to-be-replaced Gallardo , has an enviable powerplant but the supercar’s 5.2-liter V10 needs some fine tuning if it’s give its superior sibling a decent fight.
And that’s exactly what the maestros at Edo Competition have done, turning the LP560-4 up to 600 horsepower to strengthen the fight against the Aventador.

The First 7 Business Apps You Should Download For Your New iOS 7 iPhone

Facebook is rolling out a new payments feature that will let you easily charge items to your credit card while shopping on your smartphone, reports AllThingsD’s Mike Isaac.
The feature is reportedly called “Autofill with Facebook” and it’s starting to roll out to a small number of users on Monday evening, Isaac reports (but cites no sources for this information).
Essentially, the feature will allow the mobile app user to automatically fill in credit card information with a drop-down menu.
There’s been a lot of speculation about what Facebook’s new payments product would be and if it would compete with PayPal. It’s being billed as a way to get rid of the difficulty in using a mobile phone to shop online, not as an alternative to using a credit card. Those tiny screens don’t make it easy to enter credit card data.
Even though the feature is supposed to go live in the wild as of tonight, it is expected be a small test, so chances are you won’t see it on your Facebook app, yet.
We’ve reached out to Facebook for comment.

In our 5-6 million unit sell-through estimate, we had assumed 2.5 million units of the 5S and 3.5 million units of the 5C. The channel fill we are assuming from the 5C was not in our expectations. In terms of 5C channel fill, we note that currently the iPhone 5C is available on the online Apple Store with a 24 hour lead time. We believe this implies that the company has near-full channel inventory of the 5C. Based on the 11 million total iPhones available in channel inventory as of the June quarter, we believe this implies that 5C could be 3-4 million units.

(AP Photo/Elaine Thompson, File) Written by CANDICE CHOI, AP Food Industry Writer Filed Under Indianapolis Business ADVERTISEMENT NEW YORK Starbucks says guns are no longer welcome in its cafes, though it is stopping short of an outright ban on firearms. The fine line that the retailer is walking to address the concerns of both gun rights and gun control advocates reflects how heated the issue has become, particularly in light of recent mass shootings. Most states allow people to openly carry licensed guns in some way and many companies do not have policies banning firearms in their stores. But Starbucks has become a target for gun control advocates, in part because of its liberal-leaning corporate image. In turn, gun rights advocates have been galvanized by the companys decision to defer to local laws.

/ Richard Drew / AP 2007 file photo Written by Indianapolis Business ADVERTISEMENT BANGKOK — World stock markets rose modestly Wednesday as investor tensions eased before the Federal Reserve winds up a crucial policy meeting later in the day. The Fed is widely expected to announce a reduction in its massive bond-buying program, launched after the 2008 financial crisis to boost the flailing U.S. economy. Stock markets are hoping for a small reduction because the bond-buying has kept interest rates super-low, making it cheaper to borrow money. The low bond yields and flood of money led investors to plow into stock markets, fueling rallies across the globe.

Have Any Tips Or Recipes For Making Meat-and-veggie Burgers? — Good Questions

Kitchen Spotlight
Sooz Gordan lives in a little 1920’s apartment in Dundee, Scotland that used to belong to her grandmother. Since she moved in three and a half years ago, she’s transformed it into a wonderfully warm, colorful, personal space. The kitchen is painted a deep purple (“Brinjal” by Farrow & Ball) and has an awesome checkerboard floor, which Sooz spontaneously painted herself one night!
There’s that RÅSKOG cart again! The stool and table are also from IKEA, but they’ve been painted in Farrow & Ball’s Railings.

The small amount of sugar also seems sweeter and fresher with a bit of salt to balance it. I don’t add so much salt that the drink actually tastes salty; just a pinch or half teaspoon for a big pitcher. Do you ever do this? Do you notice a difference in your lemonade?

While we are most definitely a family of carnivores, I’d like to try to reduce our meat consumption and increase our veggie consumption by making a burger that consists of meat and veggies or beans. If anyone has done this, I’d love some recipes or guidance. Thank you! Sent by Harmony Editor: I’d recommend starting out by mixing a can of black beans into your normal burger mix. Shredded carrots and other vegetables are also easy to mix in. As you get more veggie-heavy, you might want to add an egg to help hold the burgers together.

Truths Financial Pros Won’t Tell You

The Securities and Exchange Commission did investors a favor in 2011 when it made financial advisers explain their compensation in plain English instead of industry jargon. Now when you request Form ADV Part 2, you can more easily see whether an adviser gets commissions from the investments he sells, charges a flat fee or a percentage, or is paid another way. The form also mentions disciplinary actions, conflicts of interest, and other background information. But Form ADV Part 2 doesn’t tell the whole story. Advisers won’t necessarily volunteer everything about the scope of the services they provide or all that you’ll pay to work with them. Those sins of omission—some inadvertent and some intentional—can cost you. Here’s what might be left unsaid. I’m more expensive than you think Fee-only planners, the kind we generally recommend, often charge an investment-management fee equal to a percentage of your assets. Annual fees for assets of $1 million or less can range from 0.7 percent to more than 2 percent, with 1 percent being average. But we recommend that you ask. Even a seemingly small difference in that fee—say, 1.5 percent a year instead of 1 percent—can cost you substantially.
